Spaghetti With Cheesy Tomato Cream Sauce

Thanks to @thefoodnanny for this delicious and quick spaghetti sauce recipe. Mmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it. ;)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 small white onion diced
  • 2 T EVOO
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 28 oz can Hunts diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 15-20 fresh basil leaves, torn into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Sauté onion in oil until translucent. Add garlic and cook another minute or two or until fragrant.
  • Add the tomatoes, cream, ricotta, basil and cheese and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until sauce becomes thick and coats the back of a wooden spoon.
  • Serve with spaghetti noodles cooked to al dente.
