These Insanely addicting Pecan Pie bars are such a good dessert option for Thanksgiving! Not to mention they are so much easier to make than pie! Jake ate one, then said, “these are like crack cocaine and I need another!”. They are so dang good. Someone take my fork away!

CRUST INGREDIENTS:
*3/4 cup softened butter (12 Tablespoons)
*1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
*1/4 teaspoon salt
*2 cups flour

FILLING INGREDIENTS:
*3/4 cup butter, melted
*1 1/2 cups brown sugar
*1/2 cup pure maple syrup
*3 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
*1/4 teaspoon salt
*3 eggs, beaten
*2 1/2 cups chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
3. Combine crust ingredients and blend with a handheld mixer. The mixture will look very dry and crumbly. When it is mixed thoroughly, use your hands to press it into the bottom of the baking dish.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove.
5. Prepare filling ingredients by combining melted butter, pure maple syrup, brown sugar, eggs, heavy cream, and salt. Whisk together, then add pecans and mix.
6. Pour pecan filling over the pre-baked crust. Use a spoon to separate clumps of nuts. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set. The center will still be a bit jiggly, and the mixture will be bubbling.
7. Remove from oven and let cool on the counter until no longer warm, (a few hours) then transfer to the fridge.

Note: this seems to stay together best when stored and served cold.
