Tonight we were “needing” a Sunday night treat but wanted to choose something healthy-ish. I absolutely adore these whole food peanut butter cups. Just one satisfies my sweet tooth. And my kids love them! And did I mention, I LOVE THEM?! It’s a Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter lovers’ dream! If you prefer milk chocolate flavor, use only 1/4 cup of cocoa to tone down the richness. If you like dark chocolate, you can go for the full 1/2 cup of cocoa powder.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coconut oil melted
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (not pancake syrup)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- sprinkling of salt, optional
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a large saucepan and heat over the stove until everything is nice and melted. Mix well.
- Assemble a cupcake/muffin pan with cupcake liners, and pour 1-2 Tablespoons of the mixture into lined muffin tins.
- If it tickles your fancy, sprinkle the top with coarse sea salt. Freeze for 15 minutes, take out of the freezer, and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
These are super yummy! We made them last night and they are a great little treat. I poured it into lined mini muffin tins and have been keeping them in the freezer. When my little kids got their hands on them this morning, I was so happy it wasn’t full of junk! Clean ingredients.
Absolutely love these!!! They are the perfect sweet treat without using refined sugar. They are incredibly easy to make, whole food, and taste amazing!
