This is a favorite for my husband and I. Delicious and easy! The whole meal comes together in less than 20 minutes. I made the avocado dressing in the food processor, and the shrimp took only 5 minutes on the stove.

Chili Lime Garlic Shrimp Tacos With Avocado Dressing

Trust me, the chili lime shrimp with this avocado dressing really make a good team. And less than 20 minutes to put together!

Ingredients

Chili Lime Shrimp

  • 1 pound raw, small deveined shrimp with no tail
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • juice of one lime

Avocado Dressing

  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 T olive oil or avocado oil
  • juice of one lime

Instructions

Chili Lime Shrimp

  • In a bowl, toss shrimp with salt, paprika, and chili powder.
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, add olive oil and garlic.
  • Stir around for one minute, then add shrimp, stirring constantly until pink and no longer soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Squeeze with the juice of one lime. Set aside.

Avocado Dressing

  • Combine the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth and creamy.
  • Assemble the tacos with tortillas, lettuce, and avocado dressing. If shrimp isn’t your thing then, by all means, sub with chicken or beef!
