Course: Dessert
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted then cooled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • about 50 Rolo candies (this was 6 "bars" of Rolo's)

Instructions

  • Cream butter and sugars together. Add egg, salt, and vanilla and beat well.
  • Add flour, and when it’s all mixed in, stir in the chocolate chips, being careful not to overwork the dough.
  • In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pour out 2/3 of the batter.
  • Take the unwrapped Rolos and space them out evenly. Cover with the remaining batter- take a small handful of batter and flatten it by hand to cover each Rolo.
  • Cover with foil, then take a knife and cut a hole 6 inches long down the center of the foil. Fold the foil toward the edges of the pan so that the center of the dough is exposed but all the edges are covered.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until it is set, don’t overcook.
  • Let them cool for a few minutes before digging in.
