SIMPLE FRUIT SALAD

The food this time of year can be a tad on the rich side. This simple fruit salad with honey-mint-lime dressing is a perfect side dish to make for any holiday party, or even just for a regular Tuesday! It’s light and refreshing and can pass for a healthy side or as an alternative to dessert. The dressing upgrades the basic bowl of fruit and makes it even more fantastic and tasty!

This simple fruit salad with honey-mint-lime dressing is a perfect side dish to make for any holiday party, or even just for a regular Tuesday! It’s light and refreshing and can pass for a healthy side or as an alternative to dessert. The dressing upgrades the basic bowl of fruit and makes it even more fantastic and tasty! 

 

Any fruit or berries will do. But I like to use:

  • Cubed Pineapple
  • Halved seedless grapes
  • Diced apples
  • Cutie orange, or canned mandarin oranges
  • Blueberries
  • Pomegranate seeds (especially in the wintertime!)
  • Sliced Kiwi

Other fruit ideas are sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, mangos, peaches, cantaloupe, blackberries, or raspberries.

 

 

 

Simple Fruit Salad

Nothing satisfies a craving like this simple fruit salad with honey-mint-lime dressing. Fresh, colorful, and tastes divine!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups chopped fruit
  • 2 T honey
  • juice of one lime
  • zest of one lime
  • 6-10 mint leaves rolled up and chopped into small little ribbons

Instructions

  • Add fruit to a large bowl. All fruit besides apples and bananas can be cut ahead of time if need be. Just cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
    In a small bowl, combine the dressing ingredients and pour over the fruit.
    Serve immediately.
