Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 1 pound regular or country or traditional sausage
- 1/3 cup flour
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper start with 1/4 tsp and see if you like more pepper
Instructions
- In a deep frying pan, brown and crumble sausage over medium-high heat until fully cooked.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Sprinkle the flour in and stir around until sausage is evenly coated in the flour.
- Add the milk, salt, pepper, and mix to combine.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and stir often, as sauce boils then thickens. It will take about ten minutes for the sauce to fully thicken. If the gravy gets too thick, add a little more milk. Serve gravy over warm biscuits.

OKay, this is some of the best sausage gravy I have had in a long time. And, it is easy to make with minimal ingredients. I also made this with your Melt-In-Your-Mouth biscuits. Let me tell you… I am NOT disappointed in this recipe at all!
Stephanie, thank you so much for the kind comment. I am so glad that you loved it!
