INSTANT POT POACHED EGGS

Published Date: September 12, 2020 | Last Updated: March 22, 2023
This is seriously my favorite #Instantpot accessory (see picture below)! Makes the perfect poached eggs, MUCH easier than on the stove. The eggs are perfectly cooked, whites are set and yolks are soft but not too runny. There are many brands available, but I haven’t tested out others so I would stick with this brand.

Instant Pot Poached Eggs

Made with one of my favorite instant pot accessories! The eggs will be perfectly cooked, whites set and yolks soft but not runny. Highly recommend this!

Course: Breakfast
Prep Time: 1 minute
Total Time: 1 minute

Equipment

  • Popfex Silicone Egg Bites Mold for Instant Pot Accessories https://amzn.to/3WWxY9b

Instructions

  • Into the instant pot, insert the trivet (see picture above), and 1 cup of water.
  • Spray insert with non-stick spray. Crack one egg into each bowl, then season with salt and pepper. Put insert on top of the trivet, then to the instant pot.
  • Seal the steam valve, and cook on manual high pressure for 3 minutes. (Others have said 5 minutes worked best for them.)
  • When it’s done cooking, do a quick release and serve right away.

Notes

Note: This insert absorbs smells and flavors, so unless you love the taste of dish soap, don’t wash it with dish soap! Wash with 1/2 cup of baking soda, scrubbing it around for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water.
