Four ingredients, one skillet, and twenty minutes are all it takes to make this Chicken Teriyaki Noodle Stir Fry. Make this recipe with the odds and ends you have left over in the kitchen.
You only need half a box of pasta, whatever veggies (frozen or fresh) you have on hand, the teriyaki sauce that’s hidden behind the ketchup in your fridge door, and whatever protein you’ve got in your freezer. I bet you already have everything you need to make this!
Add this 20-minute dinner to your cooking arsenal for when you need a quick and satisfying meal to feed your hungry family.
Ingredients for Chicken Teriyaki Noodle Stir Fry
I’m a huge fan of all things teriyaki (as evidenced by my addition of teriyaki sauce to classic pasta salad). It adds so much flavor to any dish without the need for much more seasoning. For this recipe, you’ll need:
- Thin spaghetti: You could really use any kind of long noodle that you like, but I think the texture of thin spaghetti is perfect for this skillet meal.
- Assorted sauté vegetables: I used a combination of broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms, but snow peas would have been awesome too. Use whatever vegetables your family likes. I used fresh veggies here but you could use frozen as well.
- Shredded chicken: Rotisserie chicken is perfect for this recipe, but you could also cook your own chicken breasts and shred them yourself.
- Teriyaki sauce: I like Yoshida’s Teriyaki Sauce from Costco, but you could use your favorite brand. You could also make your own. There are tons of recipes online.
How to Make Chicken Teriyaki Noodle Stir Fry
Making this dish really could not be easier. First, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. My one tip for you? Salt the water before adding your pasta. This will help season the noodles so that they taste yummy on their own. When you add properly seasoned pasta to a dish, it will have much better flavor than unseasoned noodles. Give it a try and you’ll be shocked by how much flavor it adds.
If you’ve followed along with me for a while, you know that Redmond is the only salt that I use in my house! I love it because it’s got tons of naturally occurring minerals that are stripped out of normal table salt that you’d get from the store. Use my code AMBERSKITCHEN to get 15% off any Redmond products.
After you’ve boiled and strained your pasta, add the veggies and a little bit of olive oil or nonstick spray to the pan. Sauté the veggies until they’re tender.
Add the noodles, chicken, and teriyaki sauce, and heat everything until it is warmed through.
Divide into bowls and enjoy!
What to Serve with this Recipe
This is totally a complete meal on its own, so you don’t have to serve it with anything. But when I made this for my family of 7, they gobbled it up and wanted more! So you could serve it with some sort of side if you have a huge crew like me. You could serve this with a side of fruit salad, or something more “on theme” like egg rolls, potstickers, or wontons.

Instructions

- Sautè veggies in a large skillet with a bit of olive oil until tender.

Notes
- I wish I would have added the entire pound of pasta because my family of 7 devoured the skillet and we wanted more.
- I used a combo of broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms, but just broccoli and maybe some snow peas would have been awesome too.
- I used Yoshida’s brand teriyaki sauce, but a homemade teriyaki should be amazing too!
