Blended cottage cheese, corn, and a few simple ingredients come together to make a deliciously creamy, slightly spicy, protein-packed dip. You can serve this as an appetizer, side dish, or as a topping for tacos or nachos. This Cottage Cheese Street Corn Dip is one of my favorite easy snacks to bring to a get-together, pool day, or BBQ.

What is Street Corn?
Street corn is a Mexican street food made with grilled corn slathered in mayo, lime, chili seasoning, and cotija cheese. It’s so yummy! This dip is inspired by Mexican street corn, but swaps the mayo for cottage cheese. You get all the creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy flavors of street corn, with lots of added protein and lower fat.

Ingredients for Cottage Cheese Street Corn Dip
Cottage Cheese
Cottage cheese makes up the base of this dip. It’s blended until smooth and has a very pleasant texture and flavor. If you don’t typically like cottage cheese, try it blended, and you may feel differently.
Corn
I use canned corn in this recipe because that’s usually what I have on hand, but you can use frozen corn or fresh corn, too.
Cilantro
If you’re not a cilantro fan, you can leave it out, but I really enjoy the freshness this adds to the dip.
Jalapeño
For a little spice. If you don’t love spicy, try dicing up just half of the jalapeño in tiny pieces.
Mexican Crema
Mexican crema adds so much flavor and richness to this dip. It’s less tangy, smoother, silkier, and more pourable than American sour cream. You can find it in most grocery stores. If you don’t have crema, you can use sour cream instead.
Tabasco and Tajín
Tabasco and Tajín add that signature street corn tangy heat. I love having Tajín on hand to add to fresh fruit, too! You can also use the chile lime seasoning from Trader Joe’s.
Queso Fresco
A yummy, salty, crumbly cheese that you can find in most grocery stores.
Lime
Essential for a tangy flavor.

How to Make Cottage Cheese Street Corn Dip
Blend the Cottage Cheese
Add the cottage cheese to a blender and blend until completely smooth. You can also use an immersion blender and blend it right in the container like you see in social media videos.
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the blended cottage cheese, corn, cilantro, jalapeño, crema, Tabasco, Tajín, queso fresco, and lime juice. Taste to see if you need to add more Tajín, Tabasco, or lime juice.
Chill
Place in the fridge for at least half an hour. All the flavors will blend together nicely, and it will get nice and cold! Perfect for a hot day.
How Should I Serve Cottage Cheese Street Corn Dip?
This dip is meant to be served cold, so you can pull it straight out of the fridge and serve it immediately. I wouldn’t suggest serving it warm. I like to serve it with tortilla chips, Fritos Scoops, or fresh vegetables.
I bet this would be very delicious as a topping on tacos or nachos, too.
