Here’s a great savory snack option to bring to a party- or just to eat at home. This Veggie Loaded Hummus Dip is GOOD! I took it to a party this week and everyone raved about how much they loved it. To be completely honest, I don’t even really like hummus that much, but this was seriously so good with the fresh topping!

The Perfect Party Snack
I took this to a few parties over the holidays and everyone loved it! Often times at parties there are a lot of heavy appetizers, but I love that this dish is a fresh, veggie-filled appetizer that isn’t just a tray of sad, cut up vegetables. Everyone gravitates toward the delicious and fresh option!

Ingredients for Veggie Loaded Hummus Dip
- Store-bought Hummus (I just used one from Costco, but you can use your favorite brand)
- Chopped cucumber
- Chopped tomato
- Chopped red onion
- Fresh herbs like basil and dill
- Olive oil
- Balsamic glaze
- Salt and pepper
If you want to use different veggies for this dip, go right ahead! You can totally use whatever you have on hand. Chopped bell peppers would be delicious in this, or you could even add chopped kale. You could totally use my pickled red onion recipe too if raw red onions are too much for you.
My Favorite Veggie Chopper
You can use my favorite veggie chopper to make prepping this recipe super fast and easy. I hated doing it before I got this amazing veggie chopper. It makes chopping so much easier!

How to Serve Veggie Loaded Hummus Dip
I like to spread the hummus on a plate, then top it with all of the veggies. This way you get a perfect ratio of hummus to veggies in every bite. If you do it in a deeper bowl all the veggies will get scooped up and you’ll be left with plain hummus. And while that’s fine, it will be a better experience for everyone if it’s in a shallow dish or plate.
Don’t add the balsamic glaze on top until just before serving. If you do it too early, the vinegar will run and stain the hummus and it will look all messy.
I like to serve this dip with tortilla chips, pita chips, or crackers for dipping. My personal favorite chip for the best texture with the weight of the dip is @foodshouldtastegood multi grain tortilla chips from Costco.
