Hands down, my favorite Instagram account is @just.ingredients . She does such an amazing job of making healthier, non-toxic eating and living more doable! Recently she talked on her page about how most traditional hand soaps are full of ugly chemicals and parabens that our bodies absorb easily into through skin. She then showed how she easily makes her own clean-ingredient hand soap for much less cost than buying “healthy” soap from the store! So I copied her idea and I am so happy about it!
This isn’t a recipe but I get more questions about this than maybe anything else! And hundreds of you have messaged me to tell me that since I shared this tip, your fruit no longer rots in the fridge in just a few short days. 🙌🏻 The vinegar inhibits mold and bacteria growth, and also thoroughly cleans the fruit of diet, debris, and cobwebs. (It’s amazing how dirty the water is after the soak!)
How embarrassing is it that up until now, I have been spelling “Kefir” like “Keifer” (Sutherland) 😂. Forgive me for my typos in the text of the video below.
But guys! I am so excited and grateful that Megan volunteered to teach me her kefir water method. She was so generous with her time and energy to teach us all!
Some of the most delicious recipes call for a packet of Italian seasoning mix, but some of those packets can have some weird and unnecessary ingredients 😩. But I have this Italian seasoning copycat recipe and it’s amazing!! I use it to season roasted veggies, shrimp, chicken and potatoes! So much yummy flavor in this little jar! 3 Tablespoons is equal to one packet.
As a foodie, I would probably never advertise recipes that call for canned chicken! It’s not that I’m above canned chicken- it’s just that it’s usually a last resort for when you’re out of time. But here’s the thing; We’re all out of time sometimes, and life happens, and it’s great to have something decent to feed our families in just a few minutes. Enter canned chicken! I learned that if you add enough taco seasoning to the chicken, then it’s actually pretty yum! And in these burritos, baked in a crispy tortilla with a cheesy filling, it’s downright delicious and I am pretty sure you AND your kids will love it!
This is a favorite for my husband and I. Delicious and easy! The whole meal comes together in less than 20 minutes. I made the avocado dressing in the food processor, and the shrimp took only 5 minutes on the stove.
